Josh Morse, along with Sam Morse, founded HomePay in 2021, a family-owned company in Australia that offers a unique "Build Now, Pay Later" home loan product. This product allows customers to begin construction with no out-of-pocket mortgage repayments during the build, with repayments starting only after the home is completed. HomePay integrates this financing option with their accreditation standards for builders, offering a seamless experience for both builders and buyers. Josh manages leads manually and was in need of a website and system to lessen the manual workload.

HomePay's customers include first-time home buyers, second home owners, and investors seeking financial flexibility during the building phase. The company's goal is to provide a curated selection of high-quality builders and mortgage brokers, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience for their clients.

Problems we solve

Josh Morse approached Sfera Studio seeking a solution to streamline the manual work involved in managing leads and connecting builders and buyers. The current operation was not scalable, and Josh realized the need for a more efficient and automated system to handle the growing number of users. After an initial consultation with Sfera Studio, Josh was impressed by the proposed solution centered around Webflow. The plan resonated with his vision for HomePay, and he decided to proceed with the collaboration.

The Process

The development process began with establishing a style guide and wireframe to guide the frontend development in Webflow. The team at Sfera Studio worked closely with Josh to understand his requirements and ensure the platform's visual style aligned with HomePay's brand identity. Concurrently, custom functionality was developed to support user account management with Memberstack, enabling builders and buyers to sign up and access the platform's features.

One of the key challenges was integrating Pipedrive for form submission, which required collaboration with a specialist team. The team also implemented a custom multi-step form to streamline the application process for builders and buyers. Project progress was tracked using Trello, with regular communication via Loom and Google Meet to ensure alignment with Josh's vision.

The Outcome

The result of the collaboration was a visually appealing and functional platform (https://www.homepayaus.com.au/) that met HomePay's requirements. The platform supports features that allow builders and buyers to connect with HomePay, reducing the manual workload for Josh. The integration of Memberstack and Pipedrive ensured a seamless user experience, enabling builders and buyers to access information and submit applications easily.

The Impact

The new platform has significantly reduced the manual work involved in managing leads for Josh, allowing him to focus on growing the business. Builders and buyers can now connect with HomePay directly through the platform, streamlining the application process and improving overall efficiency. The platform is poised for further development, with plans to expand its features to include property filtering and matching, providing users with a comprehensive home loan application experience under HomePay's innovative "Build Now, Pay Later" financing option.
